The Dopamine Series: Escape Through Mind Exploration

It's hard to square the rush of euphoria occasioned by dopamine with the saturnine tableaux of Beirut-based artist (and erstwhile businesswoman) Adlita Stephan. Across her striking drawings, which play with moons, exotic scripts and abstract patterning, Stephan splashes the inner workings of her mind with the gusto of Freud on an acid binge. Disturbing and delightful in equal measure.
