Xiao Ciao, on Downtown’s Uruguay Street, is the only Cantonese inspired bar in the area, which isn’t that surprising. Inside it’s classy, with posh furniture and plenty of seating and a general air of opulence, with a number of subtle nods to the Cantonese theme. Luxury adorns the bar making it a very comfortable place to spend the night sipping on cocktails. The strongest suggestion of a Cantonese theme comes from the menu. There you will find an interesting selection of carefully crafted cocktails that have an Asian influence. Cocktails like the ‘Orient Express,’ which is made with cardamom infused gin and ‘The Oracle,’ which comes with gin and yuzu juice, are defiantly worth a try.
