It was only a matter of time before the technicolour dustfest that is Holi – the secular party version, that is, not the actual Hindu festival – made it to Lebanon. The format is the same as ever: come dressed in your cheapest whites (with shades for eye protection), buy some coloured powder at the door, and proceed to spend 13 hours sprinkling it on your fellow revellers as on-trend house and techno DJs do their stuff in the background. It's messy, silly and – we have to admit – a whole lot of fun.
