On Saturdays, it seems like all of west Berlin is visiting this market, full to the brim with vegetables, cheese, wholegrain breads, Wurst, meats, flowers, clothes, soaps, candles and toys. Many are there for their weekly shopping; others, to meet a friend at one of the many cafés off the square. A Berlin institution worth experiencing first-hand.
Area Schöneberg
Transport U1, U2, U3, U4 Nollendorfplatz
Open 8am-1pm Wed; 8am-3.30pm Sat
I went here today after visiting Wittenbergplatz a week ago. This place rocks! Finally a market worth visiting with food stalls that compare to Borough Market. I didn't have a chance to sample all the stands but the fish stand looked incredible Stecklerfish and the AfroKuch was really cool too! Go!!!
