This old-school dancehall has been frequented by nimble-footed Berliners since it opened in 1913, and under new management is now more popular than ever. There are two ballrooms - the upstairs Mirror salon is the grander, but both still sport vintage details - and a programme of tango, swing or salsa. You can also just stop by for a pizza.

Awesome place, awesome atmosphere, awesome music, totally amusing and original place, no issue with the service, to the contrary, if anything bar service was actually quite fast.
Clärchen's Ballhaus and the Spiegalsaal made me fall in love with Berlin again.
This is a magnificent venue and a real must visit... the energy of the place and the incredibly broad cross section of people it attracts is a treat... everyone from teenagers to real oldies plus evereyone inbetween.. and all oreintations... a wonderful joyous melting pot... a great bit of the real old berlin.. the building a nd the ambience is a treat... every night has a different musical theme....the other - negative- review on this page says more about the author than the venue... this is not a place you go for the food, but to dance, people watch and suck up the berlin you hoped to find... i give this place 10 out of 10
The dancing and pizza may be good but the service was awful. We waited half and hour to order, had three different waiters who later confused each other. Our food all came separately and only after an hour and a half. My meal was cold and my fish was very dry. I told our waiter and he shouted at me that even if I didn't want to eat it, I had to pay. So, I left my money with my friends and left. At the door he grabbed me and yanked me back inside saying I couldn't leave until I paid. The staff was generally rude, angry and had terrible customer service.
