Babylon-Mitte review

Housed in a restored landmark building by Hans Poelzig, the former Filmkunsthaus Babylon recently reinvented itself with a much more active programming policy. While it nominally focuses on new German independent cinema, English-language fare is on the up, particularly in its regular Schräge Filme (Weird Films) programme, and its foreign film series tend to have English subtitles. Tuesdays are silent film nights, with live musical accompaniment.
