Adagio review

Spin-off of a swanky Zurich disco, its 'medieval' decor and Renaissance-style frescos are jarringly at odds with the Renzo Piano-designed theatre whose basement it occupies. Pricey drinks, abundant members-only areas and a music policy of disco, polite house and oldies cater to fortysomething tourists and afterwork crowds willing to shell out for an illusion of exclusivity. There's a dress code (no jeans or sports shoes).
