In the heart of Mitte, the owners of the infamous Circus Hostel have created Circus Hotel, a downright classy older sibling. In two corner buildings on a busy intersection, it offers 60 airy, minimalist rooms, (truly) friendly service, clever touches such as iPods charged with a selection of Berlin music, a plush restaurant serving modern German fare and prices starting at around €70. The clientele skews toward the young, creative set.

Wonderful, friendly and informative staff. We had a room that faced away from the main road and found it extremely quiet allowing us to get a good night's sleep. We decided to have breakfast costing 8 euros each per day. We found this good value for money and sustained us until our evening meal. We bought a travel pass for 4 euros per person each day which allowed us to travel on buses, trams and trains. This was very useful because Berlin covers a large area. I would strongly recommend this hotel to all age groups.
