The 40 rooms in this beautiful 1899 building are spacious and lovely, and although some of the less expensive ones lack their own shower and toilet, don't let that put you off: this is probably the best and prettiest mid-price hotel east of the Zoo. The reception area has comfy chairs around a gas fireplace, and breakfast is served in the Honigmond restaurant, open since 1920. The friendly staff speak English, and the hotel is perfectly situated within walking distance of the Scheunenviertel and Hackescher Markt.
