With 1,012 rooms overlooking Alexanderplatz, Berlin's largest (and tallest) hotel is something of a mixed bag. Although the views are spectacular, the vibe is a little cold and impersonal considering the price. There are special package deals - and a casino - for the convention groups that fill the lobby, and easy access to public transport for a business stopover, but for the traveller in search of warmth and atmosphere, there are better choices nearby.
