This privately owned addition to the Design Hotels portfolio is an oasis of calm, luxury and taste. The 144 rooms and suites, most of which face their glass walls upon an inner courtyard, are designed for space and light, decorated in warm white and beiges, with comfortable minimalist furnishings and flat-screen TVs. A sheltered path through the fifth-floor Japanese garden leads to Facil, the world-cuisine restaurant now vying for its second Michelin star, and the rooftop wellness centre offers spectacular views.
