This funky little hostel is ideal for those who prefer a familial atmosphere over the usual anonymity of other digs, and it's especially good for people travelling alone. Groups are discouraged, and a minimum stay of three days is preferred, all to assure the relaxed familiarity. The rooms are slip-shod cosy (there's a dorm just for girls as well) and David and co are warm, friendly hosts. Just a couple of streets away at Waldenser Strasse 30, their John's Cozy Little Backpacker Hostel (3940 4594) is ready to handle the overspill.

The hostel was very nice and the staff there became our friends immediately. If you're up for a cozy little stay in Berlin we would suggest for you to stay here. However, you can't be too fuzzy about little things while you stay there. Keep you smile up, you never know what life will bring you and stop complaining. A great place for 6 euros a night.
I was so unhappy there...the guy that works the desk in very un-organized and you may wait all day for him, if he shows up..Stephon didn't make sure we had toliet paper in the bathroom, the shower always filled with water, and he would harass you if you made him do something that took a little time....he never made sure we had clean sheets when we stayed a while, and when he was supposed to be cleaning he was sitting around talking....you have to do everything on his time and when he is ready...
we also stayed in a full shared flat with kitchen and bath-tub, which was nice, but the room which is the like the deluxe suit, made us sick and there were bed bugs biting us in our sleep...we always had rashed and headache's from the dust and our couch was moldy with dusty dirty blankets thrown over it...there is no way to do laundry except in the bath tub- and there was only 5 mintures of hot water and it took almost a hour to get hot again.....i would never, ever stay there again..i would sleep on a park bench before i stayed there, which is sad because i grew up on an old time cattle ranch in texas..so i have seen not so nice accomidations before...the owner always says he will do something for you, but either it never happens or it takes like 4 days, and thats cuz i kept calling him for stuff.
