Stasi Museum - © Stasimuseum Berlin
In what used to be part of the headquarters of the Stasi, you can look around the old offices of feared secret police chief Erich Mielke, preserved as they were right down to his old uniform still hanging in the wardrobe. There are also displays of bugging devices and spy cameras concealed in books, plant pots and car doors, and a variety of communist kitsch, such as banners and busts of Lenin.
