Having withstood the pressures of communism, 'Iron Union' came close to buckling under the stress and strain of capitalism, slipping to the third division and flirting with bankruptcy. But true to their name, they've stuck it out, and work has begun upgrading the club's cosy stadium to meet the official requirements should they ever get promoted again. No strangers to novel fund-raising efforts, fans also donated hours, days or even weeks of their labour on the construction site.
