The most exciting programming in the city is currently coming from the amalgamation of the century-old former Hebbel Theater (HAU1), Theater am Hallesches Ufer (HAU2) and Theater am Ufer (HAU3). Under intendant Matthias Lilienthal this tripartite theatre has become a hotbed of new international work and is one of the leading venues for young, international, experimental and innovative performing arts.
