Maxim Gorki Theater review

This jewel of a theatre is slightly off the beaten tourist track of Unter den Linden. In August 2006, author and director Armin Petras became the Maxim Gorki's intendant, and with a young and new ensemble he has breathed life into this landmark. The programming features new interpretations of classical and modern dramas as well as adaptations from films and novels, with the result that the atmosphere alone is often enough to transcend the language barrier.
