Granary Burying Ground review

So named because the adjacent Park Street Church was built on the site of a pre-Revolution storehouse for grain and supplies, the Granary Burying Ground is the third oldest graveyard in Boston, established in 1660. In addition to Paul Revere and John Hancock, famous figures buried here include Samuel Adams, Peter Faneuil (the Huguenot merchant who built market and revolutionary meeting place Faneuil Hall), Benjamin Franklin's parents, Samuel Sewall (famous as the only Salem Witch Trial magistrate to later admit that he was wrong), and the victims of the Boston Massacre. Note the two gravestones for Revere - the obvious one is a more recent and elaborate pillar, but beside it is a tiny, ancient headstone that says only 'Revere's Tomb'.
