First Baptist Church review

Completed in 1871, a year before HH Richardson began work on Copley Square's Trinity Church, the First Baptist Church is a similar mix of stone and wood surfaces. Richardson commissioned the bas-relief encircling the top of the belltower from Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, the sculptor of the Statue of Liberty.
