After a $10 million renovation, the 1,200-seat Cutler Majestic Theatre at Emerson College reopened in 2003, 100 years after it first flung wide its doors more simply as the Majestic. These days, it's one of Boston's busiest venues. Its stage is occupied by a steady stream of ballets and operas from the prestigious Teatro Lirico d'Europa and shows by the college's students, as well as an array of visiting comedians and theatre troupes.
