Situated just off Davis Square, Johnny D's Uptown features blues, jazz, folk and alt-country artists, both local and national. During the 1970s this was one of the area's most important country and western clubs, and it remains one of the best places to hear Americana. Until 9.30pm, JD's, as it's affectionately known, serves as a popular local restaurant and neighbourhood bar. After that, the music kicks in.
