When it opened in 2006, this charming little storefront venue in Inman Square had a troubled start due to noise complaints. Luckily, it was given a reprieve and now regularly hosts jazz, folk, indie rock and even classical performances - usually of an improv, experimental or otherwise outsider nature. Artists basically rent out the small room and promote their own shows - which means that the audience members usually know one another. It's all very cosy; seating is on wooden chairs, placed right in front of the performers. There is no alcohol licence, but people often bring in drinks. Plus there are two pubs, the Druid and Bukowski's, nearby.
