One of dance music's biggest names for almost fifteen years, Stanton Warriors return to their home town of Bristol this weekend to play a special show at The Marble Factory.

We caught up with Dominic Butler, one half of the genre-melding DJ and production duo and asked him to take us round the city he loves. Read on for his ten-minute tour...

My favourite Bristolian phrase or word is...
Gert. Because life in Bristol is gert lush mind!

Ben Sutherland

My favourite memory of Bristol is...
The Balloon Fiesta at Ashton Court reminds me of being young - beautiful views and floating things in the sky!

Andy Powell

When I'm hungover and need to recover, I head to...
Everywhere I used to love has changed or shut down! So I usually go and eat at my mum’s the morning after. I get the much needed sofa and moody cat there.

When I have a gig and need something new to wear, my first stop is...
Park Street. You can always find something from spots like Cooshti or fifty fifty. Or just give up and go lie on College Green and procrastinate.

When I need to have a bloody good time, I go to...
Motion for that warehouse loud music vibe! Which is always preferable to a bottle service douche bag club you get in so many other places in the world.

If I’m trying to impress a visitor from out of town, I take them to...
Clifton Village! Americans in particular love it. You can add on the Suspension Bridge if said visitor needs romancing.

I buy my records from...
Charity shops! There's loads, as well as some great second-hand record shops, up the Gloucester Road. I'm always looking for that elusive sample!

David Fisher

The place I go to feed the ducks and think is...
Anywhere down by the docks that's mildly secluded from beer-drinking men.

My favourite place to stuff my face is...
The Spiny Lobster in Clifton! I love seafood and this place serves proper sized, innovative dishes.

Prayitno

And finally, the best thing about living in Bristol is...
Everyone loves art, weed and fresh music. So it’s super chilled, running at its own tempo. Bristol is a unique city, with buckets of character.
