Time Out says

A revelatory BBC doc from the 1970s tracing the life of a man who modelled himself on Malcolm X.

As part of 'Come The Revolution', a series of screenings, discussions and events marking the 50th anniversary of Alex Haley’s seminal biography on Malcolm X, Watershed presents a special screening about Michael X.

Leader of black radicalism in the late 60s, Michael X was seen as one of the most famous black men in Britain at his time, challenging what he deemed as the hypocrises of white power and exposing the inequalities from which supremacy was built on.

The film will be followed by a discussion with curator Ian Sergeant and John L. Williams, author of 'Michael X: A Life in Black and White'.
