With outdoor seating on Plaza Dorrego, this century-old watering hole embodies the tanguero spirit of San Telmo. Inside, a hue is cast over the dusty bottles and black-and-white images of Carlos Gardel, while tango crackles away. It's an ideal spot from which to watch the Sunday market goings-on; or, on a warm evening, to drain a frosty chopp (small glass of draught beer) while dismembering a few complimentary monkey nuts.
