Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes review

The MNBA has 32 rooms, several sculpture patios, a library and an auditorium. It houses the country's biggest collection of 19th- and 20th-century Argentinian artworks, which, after the property's extensive refurbishment in 2004/5, are now on permanent display. It includes outstanding works by Ernesto de la Cárcova and Cándido López. Twentieth-century pieces feature all the major names in Argentinian art, including Eduardo Sívori, Antonio Berni, Xul Solar and Guillermo Kuitca. The international collection on the ground floor includes works by El Greco, Rubens, Rembrandt and Goya, among others names. There is also a permanent display of indigenous art. Times of guided tours vary (check the section 'Visitas Guiadas' on the website).
