Buque Museo Fragata Presidente Sarmiento review

This frigate, built in Birkenhead, was used as a training ship from 1897 to 1961. Its second life is as a wonderful museum, full of photos, maps and domestic objects, with the original cabins and dining rooms restored and intact.

The vessel was a floating witness to numerous important occasions of state, including the coronations of Kings Edward VII and George V of Britain, the opening of the Panama Canal, and the 100th anniversary of Mexican independence. Photographs of these and other events are displayed on board.
