Notorious has daily live shows by respected local jazzers such as Fats Fernandez and Adrian Iaies, as well as occasional new folk and world music acts. The tables are close to the stage, so you can catch every groan and moan during the improvs - but reserve ahead to be as near to the front as possible. The new branch - above bookstore Gandhi - offers a similarly eclectic live programme and simple, decent food, but the view from the back tables is poor. There is an impressive range of jazz and world CDs.
