Hernán Gipponi Restaurante, at Fierro Hotel has made its mark on the BA culinary scene since opening in 2010. Argentinian chef Gipponi, who worked in Spain's Michelin-starred restaurant El Poblet (now Quique Dacosta), has brought some of that Michelin magic back to BA with him with tapas-style dishes such as goat's sweetbreads with lemongrass stock, fennel and potato purée. An open kitchen keeps things interesting and the few tables outside in the romantic garden are lovely on a balmy evening. Time Out recommends the menú degustación, comprising nine courses (AR$210 per person), matched with wine picked out by none other than the president of the Argentinian Sommelier Association, Andrés Rosberg. And for a gourmet hangover cure, don't miss the nine-course weekend brunch from 12.30pm.
