It might not be Argentinian, but ceviche should nevertheless near the top of every traveller's 'to eat' list in BA. Ceviche restaurant has mastered the simple art of preparing this emblematic Peruvian dish - essentially raw fish 'cooked' in citrus juice. Other dishes, including meat, seafood and Peruvian classics, are accompanied by a very impressive selection of wine.

Dont go there : attention is really poor, food is not good and has nothing japanese at all (sushis are deep-fried, enormous and made with regular rice). Even the fish from the classical ceviche wasnt fresh enough.
And to finish with, it's really expensive for what you get, both in quantity and in quality.
OK, DON'T go to Ceviche for sushi (although 2 Japanese women did the night we visited). Ceviche, ceviche: Beyond regular Peruvian style. Unlike, much tastier than, standard over citrused ceviche. Comes with corn nuts and artisanal breads (as a cover charge of RS$5/person). We were US visitors. Americans living in BA said "Good choice. Best ceviche in BA). We did octopus appetizer and ceviche in coco and tigre. Very enjoyable.
Overtipping had bill (for 2) at Pesos 200 (US$50-55).
You have got to be kidding??! We went to this restaurant after reading rave reviews and were terribly disappointed. The best part of our meal were the roasted corn nuts that they brought out first thing with our drinks, their pumpkin soup (calabaza) and fish tempura (although it was underseasoned). Their sushi preparation was very basic and definitely not worth the price. The sushi rice was not the right type of rice, it was not seasoned properly with rice wine vinegar, the wasabi is non-existent, the combinations are dull -- which all leads to a disappointing meal. The one ray of sunshine was the pickled ginger, which was the real thing (not the fake pink-coloured ginger).
Sushi might be an emerging trend in Buenos Aires, but it has a loooong way to go before it can be called passable. CEVICHE is not worth the calories.
