Café Tortoni review

Since it opened in 1858, the splendid Tortoni - Argentina's oldest and most venerated traditional café - has played host to a stellar cast, from the depths of bohemia to the heights of the literati and across the political spectrum. Today its reputation attracts busloads of camera-swinging tourists, but don't be put off - the Tortoni is one of a kind.

What a wonderfully historic café - must visit, and the perfect place to relax after walking around B.A. all day. Be warned: if you go there for a drink and are already full, their charcuterie plate is massive! Service is speedy and professional, like what you receive in a busy bistro in Paris.
