Florencio review

Among the affluent buildings in an exclusive Recoleta street is a diminutively sized patisserie with superlative pastries and cakes. Foodies will travel for miles to sink their teeth into a ricotta cake or cheesecake made by sometime TV celebrity chef María Laura. Should you be able to draw yourself away from the sweet counter, in favour of something savoury, sandwiches in home-made ciabatta or their pizza-of-the-day are superb options. It is a tiny establishment but the outdoor tables must be on one of the quietest streets in Buenos Aires. Dinner is served on Wednesday and Friday evenings.
