The first integral spa exclusively for men in Latin America, Markus offers killer services, including a fantastic three-hour pampering called Enjoy Life; another called Adore Me comes with a bowl of fruit, tea and juices, and a tantric massage. There are also skintreatments, manicures, pedicures, botox, a decent barber and, with some notice, minor plastic surgery (this is BA, after all).

CAUTION-
Two major issues here. First of all, I requested a strictly therapeutic massage, and the masseuse told me(after he started on me) that whether or not I got a "happy ending" I'd have to pay him a $100 peso gratuity. I'm not even gay!
Secondly, after 2 minutes of starting what could be the absolute worse massage I've ever had he left the room and didn't come back. After 5 minutes I leave to put my clothes on and demand a refund, and see him arguing with another customer in the lobby. VERY SHADY and unprofessional!
The mani/pedi I received beforehand was awful, she cut me way too short with dull instruments that might not have been cleaned.
This place SUCKS!
I'm getting AMEX to get my money back for a full refund. The spa staff up front refused to do so.
First, let me say that the staff conducting the services at Markus Spa are very nice, and most are quite good at their jobs. However, I would like to caution anyone going to Markus to be very conscious of the prices they are paying BEFORE their services start. My hotel got a quote from the spa for a full day of services - yes, it was quite cheap, but that was the quote that was given. When I went to pay, the price was double the quote.
This clearly could've been a misunderstanding between the spa and the hotel, and could also be the hotel's fault. But I would've expected a more meaningful gesture from the spa given the amount of money I spent there. I went back planning on a 2nd massage, but when they offered me just 25% off for the problem of paying DOUBLE for services a few days before, I cancelled.
I would also add that the 7 hour spa day could and should be more like 5...there was a lot of time waiting around, and some of the smaller services like the exfoliation and vinotherapy were a bit unnecessary.
