Watch as Cape Town's landscape slowly gets transformed into a contemporary Liliput from the comfort of a rotating cable car. Opened in 1929, the Cableway has transported over 18 million visitors to the iconic flat summit. Meander along the pathways leading to the various jaw-dropping vantage points for views of Table Bay, Robben Island and Cape Point, and then head to the newly renovated Table Mountain Café for a sophisticated bit of tuck served on biodegradable plates. Birthday boys and girls get to go up for free, provided they bring along their IDs.
