    Summer festival guide

    Top three… antiques spots

    1
The folks behind the Randolph Street Market Festival call the multiweekend fest an “urban treasure hunt.” Emphasis on treasure. There’s so much to choose from at the West Loop indoor and outdoor market, you won’t need to do much hunting. In addition to antique furniture, take your pick of housewares, vintage clothing, jewelry and collectible toys. Now Mag Mile shoppers can take advantage of the sale with nary a chip to their pedis: Market-bound trolley service will whisk you off your weary feet at Water Tower Place.—Last weekend of the month, May–October.

    2
Is it worth the hour drive to St. Charles to shop the Kane County Flea Market at the Kane County Fair? You bet. The merchandise is constantly updated—so you might even need two trips. Fortunately, the flea market is open one weekend a month, even when the fair is on hiatus. Popular booths include Wissenberry Vintage (kitchenware, lamps, pottery), Wilson Wickers and Weaving (restored antique wicker furniture) and Village Imports (loomed European tapestries).—First Saturdays and Sundays of the month. Kane County Fair, July 16–20.

    3
If the idea of finding great deals keeps you up at night, you won’t want to miss the Massive 28th Annual All Nite Flea Market. For this one-time deal, the market-—located at DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton—stays open until 4am. That means, while everyone else is sound asleep, you can search through the finds of hundreds of dealers from more than ten states. With all those antiques and tchotchkes, you might even find that Civil War–era juglet you dream of when you are able to get some rest. -—2105 W Manchester Rd, Wheaton. Saturday, August 23, 5pm–4am.
