SIMILAR SPOTS
Noa Noa West (3815 Lake St, Melrose Park, 708-865-9595). The cowboy-couture contingent flocks to this consistently crowded Mexican nightclub that often hosts regional Mexican bands.
Los Globos (3059 S Central Park Ave, 773-277-4141). Norteña groups rule the roost at this large ballroom-style club, where photogs snake through the crowd to snap party photos you can purchase as you exit.
Copa Cabana (3018 W 26th St, 773-247-9400). Arrive early to this neon-bedecked live-music vaquero club, which is known to quickly reach capacity.
Aragon Ballroom (1106 W Lawrence Ave, 773-561-9500). Though rock groups usually pack the place, this 1920s ballroom in Uptown also hosts occasional Latino dance parties that are almost as well attended as Strokes or Morrissey shows.
