When the NFL officially formed in 1922, how did Chicago make news?

a) The city was the first to field two teams
b) Chicago was already officially eliminated from playoff contention
c) The reps from the Chicago Bears protested the inclusion of the Green Bay Packers
d) The Chicago Cardinals featured the potent backfield pair of Red Grange and University of Chicago standout (and first Heisman trophy winner) Jay Berwanger

Answer: a. Much of the heart of the nascent NFL centered on the Midwest. Three years later, the Cardinals and Bears would play to a scoreless tie at Wrigley Field in front of 36,000 people, then the largest crowd to ever watch pro football.
