The Chicago Sun-Times introduced the world’s first fake tavern in 1978. What was it called?

Answer: a. The appropriately named Mirage Bar was exactly that—a bar operated by undercover journalists to expose corruption among city inspectors. The sting implicated everyone from ventilation inspectors to pinball-game purveyors, resulting in several fired officials, national media exposure and a 25-part series on city corruption in the Sun-Times.
