Masters of the Universe

There’s probably a fine dissertation to be written about America’s fascination with Dolph Lundgren in the 1980s, especially his turn from evil Russian in Rocky IV to world-saver in every other movie he was in that decade.

Lundgren does a passable job with what he’s given (though his accent makes He-Man’s signature line sound like “Ivan the Powder!”). And Frank Langella proves nothing says “evil overlord” like gold lame.
