Play it smart

South Side families no longer have to trek north to find an indoor play space for their little ones to let loose. Room2Play (2255 S Michigan Ave at 23rd St; 312-225-9000; room2playchicago.com) is a new, 4,100-square-foot spot where newborns to seven-year-olds can stack blocks, read books, play dress-up and more. The perpetually bright spot, which boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, also offers music, art and movement classes for kids, parents’ nights out and adult seminars. The whole family can check it out Saturday 22 when children’s music maven Ella Jenkins performs there.
