If there were a contest for the most environmentally safe, body-friendly beauty brand on the market today, green by nature would win (based on our humble opinion). The New York–based company just launched its first line of lotions, scrubs, sprays and lipglosses, and not only do they smell and feel lush, but they’re also good for you and the earth. All the products are 100 percent free of paraben, sulfate and diethanolamine—meaning they don’t have any of the chemical preservatives that can cause allergic reactions and rashes in some people. These additives are used to make the products last longer and lather more effectively. Somehow, green by nature manages to concoct buttery, soft, long-lasting products without the help of all that bad stuff. We’re obsessed with the shea body lotion ($9.99), which smells sweet and fresh, goes on silky and keeps our chapped hands hydrated all day. It’s made from botanical extracts, essential oils and floral essences, and it comes in yummy scents like banana, ginger lemon and almond cocoa.
