Navy Pier Fireworks

Macy’s Independence Eve Fireworks Spectacular at Taste of Chicago
Grant Park, 300 S Columbus Dr at Jackson Dr (312-744-3315). El: Red, Blue to Jackson; Orange, Brown, Green, Pink, Purple (rush hrs) to Adams. Bus: 1, 3, 4 (24hrs), 6, 7, 14, 26, 28, 126, 145. 9:30pm; free.

Wednesday 4
Arlington Park Races and Fireworks
Arlington Park Racecourse, 2200 W Euclid Ave, Arlington Heights (847-385-7500). Metra: Union Pacific NW to Arlington Park. 1pm; $6, after 7:30pm free. Fireworks start around 9pm.

Evanston Fireworks
400-499 Clark St at the lakefront,
Evanston (847-328-1500). El: Purple to Davis. Bus: 93, Pace 201, Pace 205. Free. Fireworks fill the sky at 9:15pm.

Fireworks at Cellular Field
U.S. Cellular Field, 333 W 35th St at Wentworth Ave (312-674-1000, whitesox.com). El: Red to Sox/35th St. Bus: 24 Wentworth, 35 35th.  Game time 6:05pm; $16–$50.  Fireworks take place postgame. 

Itasca Fireworks with Peter Frampton

Lake Forest Festival and Fireworks

Naperville Ribfest
Knoch Park, 700 S West St, Naperville (630-848-5000). Metra: Burlington/Santa Fe to Naperville. Noon–10pm; $10, kids 11 and under free, July 4 after 7pm free. Fireworks go off at 9:30pm.
