INDIAN GIVER First Angela Hepler-Lee delivered a slick sushi spot to Randolph Row with Sushi Wabi. Next she gave the dining masses a dressed-up taqueria in De Cero. And now, she’ll go for a hat trick with the modern Indian Veerasway. Hepler-Lee and chef Tyler Williams have no intention of wussying up India’s fiery cuisine by tempering authentic recipes-—the menu goes full-force with dishes made “In Tradition” like lamb rogan josh and chicken tikka masala, plus starters “From the Streets,” snacks like samosas and spicy chicken drumsticks commonly sold via carts in India and London (a.k.a. Little India). A section of the menu dubbed “Indo-American Creations” and a cocktail list that includes a “Bengali Tiger” are unabashedly taking liberties, but when options include grilled salmon in turmeric-cucumber broth and a spiced rum lassi with fresh mango puree, consider us interested in evolution. 844 W Randolph St between Green and Peoria Sts (312-491-0844).
