DO-OVER Fifteen years ago, Northside Bar and Grill was one of the trailblazers of Damen Avenue. And now—well, now it’s just one of many sports bars on the strip. That wasn’t exactly the trajectory the owners had hoped for when they opened, so they’re trying again in a different ’hood with Logan Bar & Grill. The bar, built from the ground up, achieves their vision of high ceilings, long bars and even heated floors that’ll offer radiant heat. And though they can’t custom-build the crowd, they’re trying—by hiring only Logan Square residents and hanging the work of local artists on the walls, hoping to attract an authentic Logan Square clientele. (We’re not sure what that is exactly, but there are about a third the amount of TVs here as at Northside, so we’re guessing they’re not into sports.) 2230 N California at Lyndale St (773-252-1110).

I live in the neighborhood and extremely excited to have a sports bar & grill opening in the area. I was peeking through the windows and noticed the lack of TV's....how can this be a sports bar with only eight TV's!

FYI: Despite the headline of this saying "Just opened" it is in fact, not. I tried to check out this new neighborhood joint on Saturday and was disappointed to see that it's not open yet.
