A replica of the 400-year-old Munich beer hall and brewery, this colossal chunk of Bavaria has landed in, of all places, Rosemont. Though endowed with Epcot Center proportions, the pub nonetheless manages to nail the finer points: Our ridiculously good-natured server swore her real name was Greta, a live oompah band appeared genuinely fresh off the boat from Germany, and everyone from old fogies to bachelor-party celebrants looked like they were having the time of their lives. (One reason they hoist those liters of Hofbräu Dunkel without reservation: Cabs are abundant to take you to and from the Blue Line.)
