Everyone's favorite spot for digging into a big bag of seafood, complete with potatoes and corn, is getting a second location. DNAinfo reported that the Angry Crab will open at 1310 N Milwaukee Avenue, next to the third location of local chain Big & Little's. Eater reported that the restaurant will open in April or May, cutting down on the long lines that build up at its Rogers Park store during the summer.
The new location will be larger than the first, with 120 seats and the potential for new menu items. The layout and decor are expected to be the same as the original.
Eater also reported that co-owner David Nguyen has hinted at potential additional Angry Crab locations. The owners apparently looked at real estate in two or three other neighborhoods, including the South Loop, before settling in Wicker Park. Wherever the next locations pop up, we'll still be ready to wait in line with a six pack in hand.
