National Book Award winners and MacArthur geniuses pen stories for Chipotle bags and cups, so why not a comic book beer? That's the thought behind Arcade Brewery's latest creative batch, Festus Rotgut. And this isn't some back-of-the-cereal-box hack work. The Logan Square outfit has roped in a couple of comics biz heavyweights. Tony Moore, the original artist of The Walking Dead (you should also check out his awesome space pulp, Fear Agent), is handling the pencils for the packaging. Jason Aaron, the man who made Thor a woman, is writing the scripts. Each label in a six-pack of this black wheat ale features unique panels telling the tale of a zombie cowboy. The first "issue"/six-pack was just released. We spotted some in a comic book shop. You can also find it at Binny's. Aaron is currently writing the best comic in the world at the moment, Southern Bastards, a sort of Friday Night Lights gone Tarantino that will blow your mind once it inevitably turns into a television series.
