Do-Rite Donuts has announced an exciting new collaboration between its chef Jeff Mahin, co-creator of Stella Barra and Summer House Francis Brennan and a rotating lineup of celebrity contributors to create a series of one-off doughnuts.

First up is Noelle Scaggs from indie pop band Fitz & The Tantrums. The singer has teamed up with the Loop-based bakery to release a new pastry: a maple old fashioned doughnut with candied Fresno chilies. The treat will be available starting today through Monday, August 3, at which point Scaggs will choose a new influential person to create the next doughnut. The goal is to get a line of people who will collaborate with Do-Rite on a line of inspired sweet snacks.

Perhaps we can look forward to an alternative country-themed doughnut from Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy. Or maybe a tasty treat that can finally cheer up Billy Corgan. Heck, maybe they'll team up with Stephanie Izard on a goat-infused pastry (please God, no).
