It's that time of the year—Mario's Italian Lemonade is opening for the summer. The tiny establishment is a Taylor Street institution, but it's only open between May and September.
Mario's serves some of the best Italian ice in the entire city, and people from across town flock to the stand for a taste of the frozen goodies. The stand boasts a wide variety of flavors, but if you haven't been you should start with the classic lemon—it's just what you need on a hot summer day.
Beginning on May 1, Mario's will be open from every day 10am–12am. It's a sure sign that summer (and warm weather) is just around the corner.
