With improv gurus T.J. Jagodowski and David Pasquesi relinquishing producing control of the Mission Theater after a year of operations, the iO Theater will be programming all four spaces under its roof starting in September. Today the theater announced a few first moves set off by the expanded slate, including additional weekly performances for some of iO's most popular shows.

The Improvised Shakespeare Company will add an 8pm Saturday night performance on the Del Close Theater stage, with Whirled News Tonight moving to the Mission and expanding to two shows every Saturday at 8 and 10:30pm. Stalwart Harold team Revolver's weekly show, Fridays at 10:30pm, also moves into the Mission.

Team Starkid will send up kid-spooky Nickelodeon classic Are You Afraid of the Dark? with an improvised parody, appropriately titled Yes, I AM Afraid of the Dark on Sunday nights in September and October. Omnibus, a new monthly live-lit show about comic books, makes its Mission debut September 15. Veteran improv group 3033 will bring its open run to a close in the Mission, with two final shows on September 27. And of course, TJ & Dave continue their weekly residence on Wednesdays at 10:30pm.
