It's no secret that Off Color is one of our favorite Chicago breweries. We love the adorable animals that populate Off Color's labels and the interesting, trend-bucking beers that fill its bottles. So, you can imagine how excited we were to learn that the brewery is opening a bottle shop next week, located in its brewing facility at the western edge of Logan Square.

The Off Color Bottle Shop is located at 3925 W Dickens Avenue and will kick off its soft opening on Friday, February 12 from 2 to 7pm. Moving forward, you'll be able to head to the bottle shop every Friday to purchase beer straight off the bottling line—that's about as fresh as it gets, folks. Of course, this isn't a taproom, so you won't be able to drink your purchases on-site, but we're sure the staff will be able to recommend a nearby BYOB restaurant where you can enjoy your haul.

From time to time, the bottle shop will offer special releases on Saturdays. In an attempt to eliminate lines (and gauge demand) Off Color will sell $1 tickets that grant the bearer the opportunity to buy its latest special release (ticket proceeds go to charities like the Wright-Way Rescue). The first batch of tickets goes on sale Sunday, February 7 at 1pm—buyers will be able to purchase an American Wild Ale called Whiskers (a silver medal winner at the 2015 Festival of Barrel and Wood Aged Beer) at the bottle shop on Saturday, February 13.

In addition to special brews and fresh beer, Off Color will start offering brewery tours each Saturday at 2pm. You'll need to make a reservation in order to attend the tour, so don't expect to walk up and join a group.
